While the war is practically over, the nation stands at the edge of collapse with two major cities decimated and over 200,000 dead. Moreover, the USA is currently occupying and controlling a large portion of the country. As the USA, how will you mitigate the crisis in the short term while ensuring long term control keeping in mind current economic constraints and social sentiments?

In March of 1982, the Falklands war began when Argentinian military officials landed on South Georgia, an islands in the Falklands, and raised the Argentinian flag. This was followed by an invasion of the islands by the military on 2nd April 1982, with these actions being an attempt at restoring the nationalist spirit of Argentinians during a crisis. However, these actions backfired as the British, rather than letting go of the Falklands, defended them.
